The hotel is conveniently located at Waterhead Bay, on Lake Windermere,
just a short walk from Ambleside.
By Road
If you're travelling from the south, leave the M6 at Junction 36 and follow the A590, then A591 towards Kendal and Windermere. The Regent is 3 miles north of Windermere.
If you're arriving from the north, leave the M6 at Junction 40 and take the A66 to Keswick, then the A591 to Ambleside, the hotel lies to the south of the village.
By Rail
The West Coast main line from London to Glasgow stops at Oxenholme, the Lake District. From here, you can catch a connecting train to Windermere station. Both stations are well served by taxis or local buses. Alternatively, we can collect you from Windermere station free of charge.
