'We are open for business'

Thanks to you all for your phone calls and emails. We are over the worst I hope, the 2 Garden Suites Skelghyll and Latterbarrow got flooded as the Lake came across the road up ino the Courtyard up about 6 feet from the norm.
Today we really got stuck into the clean up operation and by the time we finished you would'nt have known any different.Thanks to all the team especiallly Norman the Gardener they have really pulled out all the stops to make it Business as Usual at the Regent. The 2 Suites will be back on for Christmas.
The Hotel and Ambleside are all lit up and decorated for Christmas it really looks festive I always love Ambleside at this time of year.
Thanks again for your concerns, the media can make a disaster look alot worse than it really is. Most things are getting back to normal all the roads are open and the forcast is Sunny for the weekend!
