Happy Christmas!

Getting ready for our annual Christmas break the hotel closes tomorrow until the 27th December. Got a busy day today Radio Cumbria are phoning me later for a chat about this afternoon's Christmas Lantern parade and Father Christmas visit. We had to cancel our main Christmas event due on the 21st November due to the flooding, this afternoon will give the local children a chance to show off their wonderful home-made lanterns.
Having our Christmas Party at the Glass House tomorrow night, Neil always puts a good party on giving us the top floor away from the other diners!
Next week is always very strange with the hotel being closed, got loads of last minute things to get probably end up in Kendal everyday next week, I am sure it would be easier working!
It all really starts for us on Christmas Eve with the Christingle service at St Mary's Church then Christmas day the whole family goes to Mother's for Christmas lunch it is the only time that we can all get together, its such a treat being closed at this special time particularly with a young family. Boxing Day City are at home and the following day is my Birthday so it's a fantastic week.
Back to work on the 27th for the New Year Bash!
