A very special person visits Waterhead
By Andrew Hewitt, 03 April 2010 –
HRH the Prince of Wales came to Waterhead on Tuesday to see first hand the progress made after the flooding in November. He has been a tremendous supporting figure for us in Cumbria someone who genuinely cares about us and the difficult time we have all had.It was a lovely morning as we all waited to see him, the crowd was mainly made up of my family and all the Regent guests and he stopped and chatted with us even wishing my Nephew Charlie a Happy 10th Birthday! What a lovely man.
The Inn across the road has finally opened after been completely flooded in November and Waterhead Pier is fully repaired and open again so Waterhead really is 'Open for Business'
The daffodils are finally out but snow on the tops at Easter is a bit of a suprise but up to now the weather has been far better than the forcast as it usually is!
We are having our Easter Egg hunt tomorrow in the hotel grounds for the children staying and I will be going to St Mary's Church in Ambleside for the Easter service with the family after a early morning run with some friends on motorbikes.
Happy Easter,
Hope to see you soon
Andrew
