We're in full flight

Ambleside and the Regent are really buzzing at the moment with the holiday season in full swing . We have the Windermere Airshow ,Cumbria Steam gathering and Ambleside Sports all happening this week .
The airshow takes place this weekend so hopefully tomorrow I will drag the kids up onto Claiffe heights for a bird's eye view . Ambleside Sports is my favourite event in the summer calender . Its a traditional sports with Fell running,Hound trailing ,Cumberland wrestling and grass track cycling amongst afew of the events. The whole family gets involved from Father running the carpark with the Rotary Club to Jason on the organizing committee to my two son's Jake and Adam running the fell race. Lets hope they have a good day because I know all the hardwork that goes into organizing such an event.
I recently returned from my favourite place the Isle Of Man . It was a relaxing few days watching the bikes and eating and drinking far too much again .
