What's On In Our Winter Wonderland

Sizergh Castle are hosting a month of Festive Events from 26th November - 23rd December.
With a Skating Rink open from 11am - 3.30pm each day and Christmas Craft Fair on 26th & 27th Novemeber
South Lakes Wild Animal Park is offering FREE ENTRY!! For everyone from now until 10th February 2012. Come and see this winter wonderland all lit up and meet Santa and his reindeers on 3rd December.
Ambleside Christmas Lights - The Big Switch on Saturday 19th November Stalls and attractions including skating from 12.00noon. Street entertainment, BBQ, and an appearance by real reindeers! The lantern procession led by Father Christmas starts outside The Gables Hotel at approx 4.00pm. The day concludes with a free fireworks display in Rothay Park.
Ulverston Dickensian Festival 26th & 27th November As well as Ulverston's fantastic specialist shops, great pubs and cafes, cobbled streets and great atmosphere, there is a huge variety of free entertainment, free events for children - free hat making (Top Hats and Tiaras), costume competitions, balloon modelling, horse drawn carriages, music, dancing. And its all FREE! Plus a wonderful traditional fairground, complete with Helter Skelter, and lots of music from Folk to Brass Bands. There is also a fabulous Christmas market, with lots of unusual gifts and festive food.
