Busy at Last!
By Andrew Hewitt, 26 February 2011 –
Just had our first busy week of the year and my feet are killing me! Not match fit yet. It was great to see Ambleside buzzing with people in the shops and restaurants. I took the kids out on Monday night to a friends restaurant in Ambleside it was really packed. Stuart the owner was smiling away telling me he had served more customers tonight than he had done in the whole of January!!
Back to normal next week, I am taking our Head chef and Second chef to meet the Farmer Jim Hadwin at Mansergh Hall near Kirkby Lonsdale. They are a family business like us also find it tough going at the moment. Having a good close relationship with our suppliers makes a big difference you can really get to know and understand each others businesses and help each other in difficult times.
Not much sign of spring yet but I am sure its around the corner and then things will hopefully really start picking up for us all.
Why not get yourself here to see Spring starting in action and book a Lake District easter break with us? You really can't beat Easter Breaks in the Lake District with all the lambs, beautiful sunny mornings, daffodils blooming!
Hope to see you soon
