Two unique and great Lakeland days out

The lakes are at their summer best with holiday makers really enjoying this great spell of weather.
Ambleside Sports is tomorrow but for those of you coming later in the month their is still lots of events to see and take in.
On Thursday the 11th August it is Rydal Sheep Dog Trails a great family day out with sheep dog trials ,hound show,eagles show,harrier show , show of shepard crooks and sticks and beer tent and trade stands.
It all starts at 9am - 7.30pm in Rydal Park near Ambleside. £2.00 to £5.00
On the 28th August it is the famous Grasmers Sports and Show. The sports comprises the old and traditional sports of fell running , Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling and hound trailing. Additionally ,there are major arena attractions ,marching bands , tugs of war ,dog shows and for this year a flypast by a RAF spitfire.
