The Hewitt Family are marking their 30th year as owners of the Regent Hotel with a celebration cookbook to be enjoyed by visitors, guests and friends of the hotel. The lauch has unfortunatley been delayed but we are hoping to have it ready for the February half term holiday.
Designed in a commemorative scrapbook style, the cookbook combines a wealth of recipes with photos from the family archive, personal notes remembering years gone by, and cuttings of special events. Browsing through the pages you can have a giggle at some of the clothes and hairstyles, reminisce over the changes through the years, and sample some sumptuous recipes.
Andrew Hewitt comments on the idea to mark the anniversary with something just that little bit different:
"Here at the hotel we offer so much more than accommodation, and our independent family run status adds an incredibly personal note to the time our guests spend with us. It was an obvious choice to share some of our favourite events and memories - and of course our passion for great food fits in well as it's often been central to those events and memories!"
