Easter
We always look to Easter as the start of the holiday season and it really is a rewarding time to visit the Lake District and particularly Ambleside.
As we enter Spring, Lakeland comes back to life after the long Winter and the drive into Waterhead Bay is framed by that famous host of golden daffodils, which Wordsworth immortalised. The clarity of the Spring air is fabulous and the colours in the landscape are enough to lift your spirits.
Poised as we are so close to the Lake it's a joy to see visitors and locals enjoying the long break over Easter and making the most of the events running at all of the local attractions. And if a picture speaks a thousand words, how can you resist the image of our gamboling lamb? Great to watch as they play in the fields nearby.
