Cumberland Sausage Festival 4 - 6 May
What better way is there to immerse yourself in Cumbria traditions that attending our Cumberland Sausage Festival? For all lovers of premium, locally sourced artizan foods this event is perfect for you. The festival is held at the grand Muncaster Castle, about a 1 hour scenic drive from the Regent Hotel. Freerange Comedy Festival 16 - 19 May
Held by the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal, this is a popular festival that keeps coming back year on year. A big hit with both locals and tourists, the week long event celebrates a variety of stand-up - mixing big names with up and coming comedians. There are even comedy events for children! Keswick Mountain Festival 17- 19 May
Keswick Mountain Festival is great for all the family. There is a wide selection of outdoor activities, sports events, delicious food, live music films and talks to get stuck into. This year there will be live music from the high octanine, energetic Peatbog Faeries, a bike night full of film and inspirational speakers and ‘Endurance’ - stories from the Montane Spine race just to name a few. The Great North Swim 7 - 9 June
The Great North Swim is a wonderful annual event for both participants and spectators. It is held at Brockhole on Windermere, just 5 minutes drive from the Regent. The event is a weekend of open water swimming in Lake Windermere, with a variety of distances to enter, there is something to suit every ability.
